So I drove ALL the way to a re-homing centre who I had previously been in contact with re. a new piggy pal for William. I had in the previous communication explained that he was a boar, 3 years old and NOT had the snip.

I drove 40 minutes to the place near Reading. and was greeted with a 'We don't bond boars with boars if he's 3 or older. If he was to get the snip we could get him a girlfriend or several.'

Then that was it. 40 minutes for 30 seconds of something they could have emailed me with :a19:

I want to be able to give William a friend who speaks his own language and a poor little piggy a new home!

I understand they have terms and conditions and want the best for the animals but grrr.

I got my hopes up grrrr:(

That's what I am most annoyed about - the time wasting! mallethead

I understand they have their own policies about the lovely piggies but grrrrrrrrrr! grrrr

Yes there is Wheek and Squeaks a little closer to home - just waiting to hear back from the lady who runs it to arrange a little dating time! :))

I would be extremely annoyed as well. That was completely unnecessary. I hope it was just a miscommunication rather than blatant time wasting. I hope you manage to find William a friend soon!

Aw, bit naughty of them to do this but as you say, they are safeguarding the piggies which is a good thing. Not all people are as wise as you I expect so think it is just a breakdown in communication.
However, this doesn't justify your time, petrol and hopes for a little friend for William :(
Have you still got your emails etc. If so, I would contact them to express your disappointment and forward your messages. Must be deflating for you all grrrr and William having to wait longer for a friend.

I'd be frustrated too. They could have easily explained by e-mail instead of you wasting your time. How annoying.

Hope you find a new friend for William soon.
