But also very happy! I posted across a number of threads (not all about the same issue) regarding my pigs ill health, and how Boris in particular was losing weight for no reason! I panicked, took him to the vet, vet proposed thorough blood tests and X-rays, referral to specialist...turns out the weight loss problem was me being dense and overthinking things!

I made a thread a few weeks ago saying how I felt bad that I'd had to downsized the boys cages from a C&C with hay lofts to commercial cages. I have hay cubes and baskets in their new cages with their favorite hays in, and they were clearing these multiple times a day, I'd refill them.

It occurred to me on Saturday that the fact both were losing weight could be due to the fact they didn't have copious quantities of hay to graze on at all times anymore...bought some litter trays that I filled with hay that day and put them in their cages - weighed them both yesterday and this morning and both have nearly gained back all their lost weight.

Seems like that was the problem...I assumed the worst before looking at the simple stuff! A reminder to not overthink and panic sometimes, look at the most obvious causes!

I feel so silly now though  but relieved!

I'm so glad all was ok and you have figured out what the problem was. Really pleased all is well now though.

Glad you found the answer and the piggies are doing well. It's so easy to overlook the simple things and panic, I do it all the time!

Don't feel bad, over cautiousness is always better than under! :D
