Just had my Poggle out and found a lump on his tummy, its about the size of a 5p piece in width, really quite flat and is mobile, I'm hoping it's a fatty lump (he is quite a lardarse!)

I'm doing another week of work experience at the vets this week so I'm going to ask one of the vets tomorrow and probably take him in for them to have a look at.

Poor boy, it does seem a little tender to the touch so I'm worried its something more sinister :(

Waah my darling boy :...

Oh no, hope it turns out to be nothing sinister. Lots of love to Poggle and a hug to you x

Let us know how he gets on

Thank you all ♥

I'll let you know what the vets say, my poor darling boy :( though he's enjoying all the extra cuddles and luckily loves getting his tummy out so examining it regularly shouldn't be a problem!

My Shereen and Amina have fatty lumps and they are fine so please try not to worry.

If its mobile thats a good sign - I have 2 with fatty lumps and 1 with a hernia.

Thank you all for your thoughts, wishes and kind words :)

Poggle came with my to my placement today and saw a nice young vet, she gave him a good looking over and had a look at the lump. She thought it looked fatty in origin too but I asked if we could do a fine needle aspirate just to be sure, better get it out early if its not a fatty lump!

After being a good boy for the clippers and some anaesthetic spray on the area he had a sample taken from it and examined under the microscope (her cool! She showed me all the types of cells as I'm there on work experience *nerd*!)

It was decided that it was a fatty lump and Poggle has been given a clean bill of health, though I'm to watch that it doesn't get too large :)

So ye for those skimming my essay (!), the point of it was... My darling boy is OK x)
