I have just purchased the blackcurrant and oregano pellets from burgess, they have not arrived yet but I will keep you posted as to how they go down.
Our Guineas Love that flavour and the pellet size has been smaller

Have just looked at them on the website and seems the calcium has increased from what I was told it was so have queried it, am hoping they haven't changed the recipe.

Have asked and will update here, expect our contact will ask the company. It could be a typo on the website, as am sure this information wasn't on there before and what we were told was provided by Vitakraft themselves.

I am very confused now! Who knew finding pellets where so hard! I have no idea what to get! Since my guinea pigs have been on the burgess excel they are eating more nuggets (they didnt eat many before) and drinking more, one of them never used to drink before, I used to soak his veg instead. He ia drinking a dramatic amount more

Ok my contact has checked with Vitakraft and though the overall calcium is now 0.8% it is not made up of calcium carbonate which is what is believed to cause stones and sludge etc. The pellets have been manufactured to ensure that the calcium/phosphorous/protein/fibre ratio is balanced. Therefore I recommend these pellets too, but if you have a pig prone to Interstitial cystits or with a history of stones you need to ensure that the veg you feed is not high in calcium (kale, spinach or parsley) and keep an eye out for any calcium deposits or crystals in their urine.

Apparently the 0.9% calcium on the site is a typo.

I will be feeding the Bunny mainly but with these mixed in in a smaller amount.
