It has been a month today since I lost Marble. I miss her so much. I have not stopped thinking about her since it happened. I remember her smell and the way she would lie on my chest when she was so poorly. I am so upset. I want her with me. I feel like I felt the day she left me. She was so beautiful and full of life. Everything is so quiet and dull without her.

I'm sorry to hear about Marble, she sounds like a very special guinea!

Oh love i know exactly what you mean!
The pain is still so intense........... it wells up inside and yeah :0

Give yourself time........it will take quite awhile as your love and bond was very strong......... one day you'll find you'll just do a little smile..... then maybe a week or so later you'll do a bigger smile. You've got so many memories treasure them, they WILL last forever believe me XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

HUGE HUGS XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Marble a month has gone by, you are still so loved and missed, NEVER forgotten sweet baby girl x)x)x)

a month already...

Thinking of you sweets, it takes so long to get over them if we ever do, they leave such a huge gap in our hearts.

Take one day at a time.

Thank you so much for your lovely words.

Aw hun, they say time heals and this is still very raw for you :( You are grieving.
Maybe try and think of all the great times you had together - we tend to reflect on the sad things so look at pictures of her and celebrate the wonderful life Marble shared with you x>>

Thank you for that. It is hard not to think of her so ill.

Piggyfan, I know exactly how you feel inside. I am still struggling with the loss of Putt earlier this year. Not a day goes by that I don't miss my special girl, but it does get easier and you will reach that stage.

Marble was such a beautiful girl and they become such a huge part of your life. The grief and the pain that you feel now is the unfortunate flipside of the strong loving relationship you had with her and unfortunately you would never have the love you did for her without the pain that comes after they pass.

Time is a healer, try and think of the good times and remember how amazing she was, in time you will find yourself smiling when you think about her as opposed to the knots in the stomach and the sense of loss you feel now and while you will always miss her, the happy memories will overtake the sadness. We never forget the ones that leave us and while they are no longer there, they live in your heart forever.

Massive hugs x x

Just want to re-iterate what others have said. Take comfort from the knowledge that Marble is not suffering and there is no pain or discomfort. I still feel the loss of my Rosie (over 10 years ago) but you must think of the lovely times you shared and in time you will be able to smile at your memories. Thinking of you and sending healing thoughts and wishes xxxxx

i am so sorry for your loss.

i am sure you gave marble all the best things in the world.

i lost my guinea pig Rita at the beginning of this month. she would have been 4 next week. i miss her terribly as does Pickle her cage mate, but i new she didn't have long and when the time came for me to take her to the vets for one last time, i new i was doing the one last thing i could for her.

i miss her, but i feel very privileged to have met her.

when i got my copy of the gp magazine at the weekend, the cover pig looks just like her, i like to think that its Rita's way of saying hi :)

Big hugs, I completely understand, I'm still nowhere near getting over losing Nigel and Johnny, it's so hard.

I also know exactly what you mean hun, Yoshi went over the bridge only a couple of weeks before Marble and I'm aching for him. (((((BIG HUGS)))))
And now I'm in tears for both of them 8... so don't worry, you're definitely not alone. :laluot_29:
Thanks for sharing your lovely pigture of your gorgeous girl. Have you got anymore you'd like to share?
PM me anytime. x

Thank you so much for such lovely kind words. I am sorry you too are suffering without your special Putt. It really does leave a hollow in your heart.

This is a photo of her after her first bath. She looks so cute. She always had a lovely smile especially when she ate parsley.

Well when your OH is so self concious and moans at you for looking....... :))

Me too! I hardly eat anything and what i do is mostly healthy, its so unfair!

Martyn is slim too, but he eats nothing but lots of junk!

Take heart, it may take some time but it will catch up with him and you won't be alone! Alexander has always been as skinny as a whippet and could just eat ANYTHING and not gain weight but since he's hit 40 he actually has to watch what he eats ( as I always have! Huh!) or else it ends up around his middle! ;)
