Yay Laura - he's very sweet looking indeed and I hope he takes to Phoebe.

Well done on your bike ride! That's pretty cool and much much better than where you were a few months ago - talk about achievement :)

Congrats Laura, he is gorgeous x) I'm sure Pandora will love him xx>>>
Well done to you too for getting out & about xx

I do hope she takes to him, and he lets her be the boss. I'm hoping to introduce them straight away, the same day he arrives ideally. Depends on how well he travels though.

I'd better head off the computer for tonight, I owe some piggies some dinner, floor time and cuddles. After that I'd best bury my head in a names book again!

Goodness, sounds as though you're getting out and about more than me, well done you xx>>>

There's something about your new chap that reminds me of my Percy - not sure what it is - maybe the face ?

Hope he has Percy's temperament - he's a real soppy pig rolleyes Cant wait to hear what Pandora thinks of her new hubby :)

Teresa x

I always feel happy when I read rescue pigs get a new family. In this case, when the piggy gets to live in a fantastic piggy palace with amazing care by someone who know what she's doing it's even better!

Will keep everything crossed for a nice smooth introduction Laura - he is one stunning young man.x)

Just see what happens when I go away for a weekend! He looks gorgeous, and Pandora will enjoy a laidback boy more than anything!

He's even got the right name - like nutmeg's Steven...! :)):)):))

I'm a fast worker, Wiebke!

You know what is funny Teresa...we're seriously considering Percival as a name for him! Pandora and Percy sounds too cute together. :)

Still no word on if any transport has been arranged for him yet, it looks like Jill is only appealing on the RU forum. If needs be my mum will head over there to collect him, it's only just over an hour away.

If you want to keep with the Greek theme, you could go with Perikles or Plato - I'm sure that he neds to be of a philosophical bend with Pandora!

The waiting game must be terrible for you, i'm sure it wont be long til he's being bossed about by Dora :))
xx

He is on his way...my parents are travelling to collect him from Northampton. :)

Well the meeting time was arranged for 1.30pm so they should be with him around now, I should hear any time. It takes just over an hour to travel to Northampton so they should be back just before 3pm.

Planning to do introductions tonight. I wish there was a nail-biting emoticon!

AWWW - I know only too well how you must feel; it gets never any easier! malletheadmalletheadmallethead

Best of luck with the collection and the introduction! :))

Jill has been delayed so my parents are still waiting for her to arrive. My mum will let me know when they're on their way back with piggie!

I, meanwhile, need to go break up a fight between the twins (who don't stop arguing) and then go sort the rest of the piggies out. :)

They got back at around half three with Mr. Pandora. He's gorgeous! A chunky boy, so soft and with such a sweet temperament. Complete cutie. The right character for Pandora so fingers crossed all will go well later this evening....

I'll announce his name when I get pics of him, hopefully tomorrow. :)

Fingers crossed that Pandora will fall in love with Prince Charming! xoxoxoxoxoxo

Hi Laura

He is gorgeous isn't he? Rosco has been my foster piggie for the last 4 months. I'm pleased to be able to say that in that time he has gone from being quite nervous to very laid back, a very gentle quiet little man who it has been a pleasure to care for. I'm sure he will fit in well with you.

Ange

I was hoping to find you either here or on RU Ange, Jill has mentioned that he'd been with you. :)

He's such a sweetie, he has settled in so well already and his temperament is a huge credit to you - you really wouldn't know he had been so nervous. Everything about him is just calm, he seems to just go with the flow and relax.

Do you know anything about his background i.e. why he came into rescue?

On this occasion I do as I collected him from his previous home. He, together with a couple of sows, had belonged to the daughter of the house and she no longer wanted them. The sows had been found homes but not the male who I named Rosco.

I was told that they had bred from him in the past, I think she said he had fathered two litters. I was pleased to be able to take him away because apart from taking him out of the breeding cycle the indoor cage he was in was outside under the overhanging eaves of the house! He had no hay but the cage was clean. Whether or not he had been put outside just for me to see him I don't know, rather than question I decided it was better just to take him away and leave.

Good job I wasn't looking for a boar as red/white pigs are my favourite and he has captured my heart.

Thank you for letting me know his story Ange, I'm so grateful (and I know he is too) that you did take him and let him live safely and happily with you.

He now has a new name...Harrison, Harry for short. Introductions went very well, he knows his place and goes to hump the teddy instead of Pandora, when she warns him to back off! There is no aggression; they are still very "spacey" with each other, it'll take each a few days to adjust and get to know each other, but they are getting along well. I have posted photos in the photo section, it's the thread titled "Introducing Harrison". :)
