no its not personal at all
about 9mths ago i decided i wanted a piggie but rather then buy a minipig i opted for an older 1 so i contacted a pet shop and left my number incase an older female was available (ex breeder) so waited a few weeks and owner contacted me and sed i have a five year old female heavily pregnant for £5 (if id return minipigs) so i bought her during the convo she mentioned about bein unindated with older rabbits when the novelty has worn off so i recommended a rescue.well the g.pig died during labour and the owner demanded the pig back. then she rang up the lady who runs the rescue who ive met in the past and says i said i was a partner in the her rescue! ive contacted the lady 2day for the first time in 9mths and she went mad at me for associating myself with her rescue? which i did recommend to the pet shop but only because i knew of the rescue. well she was f in this and f in that sayin you dnt no wat your doin and all this

What the hell was an exbreeder doing getting a 5 year old sow pregnant! :tickedoff:

If you bought the pig then they cannot demand the pig back! Sounds like a right stirer and shame on the rescue woman to use such language.

Sounds like these people have no regard for animal welfare, they don't deserve them! Hugs to you!

x

no she still breeds i was wanting a girl who was 2 old for breeding as a pet at the time which was 9mths ago the breeder wanted the body back.

Oh Pether, sounds like a right ordeal.

I'd go back to the petshop and tell them that you never said you were a partner! Then tell them that they shouldnt be getting 5 year old sows pregnant, and definetely shouldn't be selling a pregnant pig and asking for the babies back!

Tell him you have phoned Trading Standards and the RSPCA (even if you don't), it should frightne them a bit!

If I was you I'd also phone the rescue lady back, hopefully she's calmed down, and tell her that you never said you were involved with the rescue, you just mentioned the rescue as you were worried about what would happen to the older rabbits. Then get her to apologise for her language!

well i rang the shop up and said wat the rescue lady told me and she denied it! my arguement was if i was a rescue why would i buy one?

Good ideas there Damons! :) I wouldn't ring though, I would write a letter to the lady she will have calmed down by then and perhaps you can put it down on paper better about what happened.

Or you could just right it off as a bad experience, it isn't nice at all especially as you were only trying to help. Must admit if anyone came to me with a pregnant sow and wanted the babes back I'd tell them to go and jump off Runcorn Bridge! ;D

she was ranting and raving about me been associated with her rescue and sed i dnt no wat I'm dion as far as keeping guineas

S&T, your right, I think a letter would be better.

Is Runcorn a real place? I thought it was a made-up place where Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps was filmed. ? I am not very clever, am I?

Good grief >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
For one the woman getting the piggie pregnant at 5 is totally disgusting and then the shop owner allowing this and then on selling :o :o >:( >:( >:( :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:
Good on you for trying to do the right thing :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
but then to be put in that position and then YELLED at like that >:( >:( silly silly people
((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) for you for doing such a wonderful thing :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

edit: and if you were a rescue why would you then be prepared to give back a body

RIP Piggie 0:) 0:) 0:) 0:) 0:) 0:) what a terrible life you must've led i'm glad you were with pether even tho it was such a short time, at least you knew for the first time that you were loved :smitten:

i mean she was telling me i could not take in unwanted guineas basically

Oh Runcorn is real, its near Widnes and is a strange place, stinks to high heaven of chemicals! ;D

Pether, you didnt ask to, did you? You only telod the pet shop about the rescue because you were worried about the bunnies.

I cant belive Runcorn is real! What sort of chemicals?

Do Gaz, Donna, Louise, Jonny and Janet really live there?

foster rescues?

What I mean is, why did the rescue lady say you couldnt foster, if you didnt ask to foster? You only recommended her.

apparently I'm not capable of this task and havent thought it through

There are load of chemical factories in Runcorn. ICI is one big one. :D

Lol, do you live there?

I just looked at some photos of Runcorn online. So many chimneys and chemical plants! Surely its not safe to live there? ;D :D

Thank everything ... NOT. I visited by canal once (I was accompanying someone with a dangerous urge to see the remains of the Runcorn Canal. We found it on foot, and were stopped by the Runcorn police... for walking along a road!)

It transpired that the road on which we were walking was reserved for the use of buses! (it must also be bourne in mind that Runcorn Council appear to have a deep dislike of private cars, which is expressed by impressive attempts to trap them forever in the one way system (in the hope, it would appear, that eventually they willl they die out). I think someone needs to produce The Lonely Planet Guide to Runcorn.

ps - there is indeed a noteworthy collection of chemical plants, and it is, I hear, possible to locate certain parts of the conurbation on smell alone (left at the hydrochloromethane, 200 yards then right when you hit formaldehyde).

Lol, I'm laughing my head off here! I really must go to Runcorn!

Oh gawd I think we need a new thread! :D I was just talking to Peter about Runcorn and I said it is one of those places, not made by mother nature its man made, there is nothing pretty about it, I guess you can say the same about Liverpool in some aspects but we have hills and some great views. Runcorn reminds me of Lowry paintings with factories and smoke everywhere and if you have read Hard Times by Charles Dickens it reminds me of The Key Note Chapter were the factories rule the roost and there isn't anything else on offer.

Skemersdale is another place like this but there isn't a lot of factories there, it just has no soul, built by man, there doesn't seem to be much to keep me interested in these sort of places.

Widnes is a lot better, I like Widnes but they all talk like they are from Manchester! 98) St Helens is great too, but Runcorn, I just can't take to the place for some unknown reason I cannot put my finger on it!

But in two pint of lager they sit up on a hill by a castle, and the veiw is pretty good! Its not a natural view, all factories and lights, but it is quite pretty. Is that built actually filmed in Runcorn?

I think the head office of my bank is in Skelmersdale. I recognise the name of the place, I think from the return address on envelopes!

Runcorn is naff. Skelmersdale is the concrete jungle with nothing but roundabouts and roundabouts and more roundabouts. I am from Ashton in Makerfield, Nr Wigan, and know Skelm and Runcorn - not nice places.
:P
Wigan isn't up to much but they are re-developing it and it should be pretty cool when done. Widnes is nice and I like haydock and st helens and L'pool cos used to work there LOL.

I now live in a field in Scottish land - so I am away from the cities and towns now - but do miss them. MOOOOOOOO. BAAAAAAA.

LOL.
