I put them in the run earlier as its a beautiful day here and fifi and dora are still in the exact same place they were earlier, not even nibbling the grass. So sad for my gorgeous girlies and hope with some serious TLC I can turn this around and make them happy.

For anyone confused I adopted these from pets at home as they have been there weeks and are 16 weeks old. I have had them nearly 3 days now.

Would dearly love to hear happy wheaks and running around.

I remember your thread.
They are probably still a bit wary of being in a strange place and new surroundings still so give them lots of time to adjust.
Many piggies who go outside for the first grass munching hide away - it's all very bizarre to them. We're the ones left feeling a bit puzzled as to why they're not going mental for the lovely green stuff :))
It will all come together in the end :(|)

They have just found each other and I'm sure I heard a little wheek! but will check on them in a bit! I hope for a happy update at the end of the day. I'm thinking of stalking them in a bit for pictures!

Have you tried putting a towel across the top of the run so that it feels less open? I'm sure they will settle with time. :)

Thye all much happier - the girls are happily snoozing under their make shift cardboard box house i made for them and they have been trying the grass.

The boys I think can smell the girls as they have their faces pressed against their hutch and louie is calling them - and getting ignored! Humphrey couldnt give a monkeys about them and has gone to snuggle as well.

Being outside, all the new sounds, smells, movement? They are obviously scared. It took nearlyy 9 months for one of my adopted pigs to be fine and he still was very nervous. I've had Kenya (p@h pig) for over a year and he's still not bonded to us altho isn't scared. It just takes time and effort, if * put them out a bit everyday they'll realise it's a good thing lol

aww bless them, I'm sure in time they'll come round, they've just had so many changes they're probably wary.

In 20 years i only had one pig that hated grass. Charles deemd grass too dirty for his precious paws and refused to have anything to do with it lol rolleyes

I had two sows from p@h 'adoption' centre, a mum and daughter, after the mother had given birth in the store...it took them 6 months to realise what the green stuff in the big outdoor place was, but they ate it immediately if you cut it and put it in their cage. Guinea's have to learn certain things from their mothers...eating grass unfortunately is one of those things.

awwwww don't worry, give them time, it's all so new to them :)
I'm sure with a little time and patience from you (it's so worth it!) you'll find they'll learn to popcorn and wheeeeeeek their little heads off x)x)
