That's so sad 8... it was inevitable, as there were so many pigs in that space, that even if something smaller had happened there still would have been a disaster :(
 
It is very tragic indeed, and I hope that none of the animals - cavy or otherwise - suffered, but died almost instantaneously due to inhalation of toxic gases. Naturally, we can only speculate as to the store's breeding practices. However, if the store practiced the common unethical practices that a majority of us are aware of, these animals may be the fortunate ones. Regardless, it upsets me greatly when I think of their last moments. I really do hope that this was not an arson attack!
 
This is so sad, lets hope it was an accident and no one did this purposefully!

I just posted a thread about this sorry didnt realise there was one its so sad that makes me MAD! And id say that even if I wasnt a pig owner!
 
I contacted the BBC as soon as I heard as I live nearby (about an hour) to see if we could help with any that survived but, despite my details being passed on, have not heard anything back.
