So what do you have planned for this year?

I have a shed hopefully planned combined with a workshop thing next door for my husband. I don't know if this will go ahead as he's had his operation and I need swift renovation.

Other than that I just want to get Orson snipped and in with the girls, take away the internal ramp and make an external one on one floor to give more room. Considering another smaller sleep space - we'll see.

No more pigs!

That's all

You?

I too have a shed in planning. We need to get a patio laid at the top of the garden for it to go on, we've had a quote for this and just need to give the guy the nod to go ahead.

The plan is to move the girls back into their hutch in the shed once the weather warms up. Hopefully I can work some floor space for them too to give them a bit more room. Then when it gets to summer they can come back out into the garden for a short while :)

No more piggies for me either :) I'd love more but I just don't have any space :(

Your plans sound good Lisa!

Mine is quite simply to focus on providing the best care possible for my lot. To get back into the routine of (thorough, clinical) weekly health checks, set dates for nail trims, haircuts, baths, photo shoots etc. In other words, being organised!

And no more piggies, unless I lose one of a pair.

mine is to make a c&c cage for the babies to live in and get them all some bits and bobs ie,cosy sacks, cosy cups etc etc

DO NOT ADOPT ANY MORE GUINEA PIGS!

Apart from that, I would like a summer hutch on the patio for the tribe - considering the number of the tribe, it has to be fairly sizeable...

I would love to adopt a spayed sow as a wife for Mimsi. He a wee bit old to get the snip and would just love a female companion.. I'm always on the look out in the rescue sites but sadly I know that the chances Mimsi getting married are very slim. He is doomed to remain a bachelor! Other than that, I just want to keep my piggies as healthy and happy as possible!

mine is to simply give them the best care possible and spoil them rotten :))

MY plan is too...

Give my guineas lots of cuddles :))! I'm afraid, I'm full there will be no more piggies I am delighted with my 3 babies.. since it was ment to be 2... but accidently went to 3 not that I'm complaining :)! I love pampering them, they are just so gorgeous! x)

What I do want to do is grow grass for them and I may make an outside run for them, it's only concrete I have but was thinking if I grow grass in litter trays they can jump out and in, also lets them see some sunshine (if there is any) which I think is important for them, don't know.

As for the grass I figure, I will get littertrays, mud and seeds... Then I shall pray lots that it grows :)). If anyone knows the correct way to go about this please help little me, by letting me in on the secret :)!

I predict I will continue to spoil my piggies :))!

Oh, that reminded me Joanne, I am also planning to grow the pigs own veg this year. Planning coriander, parsley, lettuces, cucumber, carrot and tomatoes at first. I'll have a portable greenhouse set up in the garden and everything. :))

Ooh that's a good plan. I'll steal it if it's okay :)) I can fit one of those tiny greenhouses on the new patio :) I grew carrots for them last summer and the tops went down a treat! Thanks x

Speak to Joanne about where she got her girls - they are all spayed. Could work for your Mimsi!

OOh good idea! I may try and grow herbs, never been successful before but i would like a regular cheap supply of mint.

Ha ha ha Laura your plan is obviously the bomb! That's teo of us stealing so far! Maybe we can compare notes on how our herbs turned out and the carrot tops.

spoil all my boys rotten keep them happy as that will make me happy :p

I have already herb pots in the garden. If you can get hold of celery leaves, that's another good one to grow in pots for piggies!

I thought I might try and convert the huge ornamental flower pot into a carrot area this year!

I plan to continue my volunteering at the rescue, hopefully by the end of next week integrated jive in with the girls fingers and everything else crossed... I am also going to work hard at the allotment to grow veggies for the piggies and us!

I have asked my dad to build me a run for the summer, hopefully by then they will be braver and will enjoy it rather than hiding like they do in their indoor pen. :)

Oh yes, definately growing veg!

My guinea plans for this year are add some C&C grids to one of the hutches in the shed and move all my sows in together, make some toys for them and hopefully get a longhaired guinea-pig in the summer :))

well this year my plans were to stop myself from getting anymore piggies.... but i already had 3 new ones and introduced them to my other girls (deffo all girls this time so no more babies!) all 6 love each other!

which means i will now have to build a new level to make their cage twice as big!
