Oh what to do with a socially awkward pig?

Little Tonks is my socially awkward girl, she doesn't know how to be a pig or how to react to the typical social cues.

She's often off on her own, popcorning away and when she does try and approach the others she has no idea what she's doing! It doesn't help that often she can't see what everyone else is doing and often gets told off for running into another pig :))

Like the other day when my zoomie champion Bella tried to start a game of zoomies with her, Tonks just looked at her blankly, quite taken aback by this behaviour and unsure what to do. Poor Bella just gave up in the end.

None of my girls are cuddlers but they do tend to sleep near each other, Tonks does occasionally but not too often. I even got her 2 cuddly toys in case she got lonely, which she never even looks at!

She's the bottom pig and doesn't always get a look in with the veg so I always supervise, she just doesn't get into the thick of the feeding frenzy! It's not like the others even kick her out.

Has anyone else got a piggy like this?

Tonks is lovely. It's so hard when everyone else is getting along and you just don't know how to fit in. Hope she gets it soon, bet it's more fun popcorning with a friend or two.

That's very true! The others are very good to her tbf, they put up with a lot especially with her super intense seasons where she's humping everyone all the time for a day or two! She can't even seem to rest with all the hormones bless her! Considering she's the bottom piggy they're quite good with her.

It just means she tends to be a bit of an outsider, I've never really read much about it before.
 
Awwww.... love the pics. Off topic, but your red and black pig looks just like my Linney did! One of our pigs, Frenzy, was pretty clueless at times, both socially and just generally. It was just the way she was. She was a sweet girl... just didn't get what was going on half the time! LOL!

Did... Did you just call my Bella GINGER?! :yikes: She's black and TAN!

I'm just kidding :))

That sounds like Tonks, sweet but clueless haha. She just does her own thing and gets in everyone's way XD
 
Oh bless her, those photo's are adorable! I think at this point I've talked about my resident 'sentient bolster cushion' (idiot in my avatar) enough, so I'll just say that we're no stranger to the socially awkward piggies in this house too! Amazingly, Praline is also top pig, a fact which mystifies both his brother and I daily. I'm wondering now if it's a case that the special pigs are humoured and cared for more than we imagine by their housemates?!
 
Aww poor Tonks, she probably has to think more & by the time she has figured it out she's lost the plot. Lol
I've got a dog like that, you tell him something & he looks at you as though your stupid.
 
@Fweeper yes it seems like they're tolerated quite well! Wow it's good that he's the top piggy too, I bet he wonders how that happened :))

@Tiamolly123 that sounds exactly right haha you can often see the gears going in her brain sometimes and then they turn off and she just popcorns around or runs off with her little bum in the air like a princess XD
