Hey all, my boy is 5 and last night he didn’t eat his pepper for tea. He ate everything else but usually he never leaves a thing. This morning he’s eaten normally. I’m concerned because he’s been quite quiet too. Last night I got him out and he just lay on me for an hour+.

I’m doubly concerned because his poo looks sloppy. I’m wondering if this is just because I’ve introduced coriander into his diet or if it’s something more serious?

I want to take him to the vets but I’m so worried about them missing something because they’re not specialised guinea pig vets.

I’m sorry to hear this.

Please switch to daily weight checks so you can monitor hay intake more closely and prepare to step in with syringe feeding if necessary.

Please remove veg from the diet also.
This looks like it might be impaction so he does need to see a vet

Thankyou very much. He’s seeing the vet today and I will do all of the above. I’ve just lost his brother this year so I’m just scared
