so, i reduced their veggies yesterday and they had none this morning ( I FEEL AWFUL )...

poo is still slightly softer than normal, still has same shape though and same colour ....

Question - should i feed them veggies tomorrow or wait another day?

my daughter thinks I am starving them... and pippin just stood on her back legs looking for food when i just put the hay tray in and nothing else.... :(:(

I would hold off on the vegetables for another day Especially watery veg like cucumber etc.

They keep wheeking when i walk in the room.... now they are watching me... i feel bad.... lol

I really feel for you. I felt dreadful when I reduced mines pellets, they kept sitting next to empty dishes every time I went near the cage. If looks could kill I wouldn't be writing this! Those little faces when I took the dishes away and didn't refill them :soz:. Think you should be strong a bit longer though if the poops are still soft.

its awful... i am sat having my soup at my desk and they are just watching me......

well... its all about the poo in this house ! Guinea pigs poo looks slightly less squishy so going to give them one more day without veggies and slowly begin them on it...... my son has diarrhoea now ...... at least its not vomit like 3 weeks ago :vom::yikes::yikes:

Your definitely not starving them, most of their diet is made up of hay with veg and pellets making the rest up :) Try not to feel bad, your just trying to help them.

I'm a bit like your son today, have an awful pain in my side as well. Hope your son feels better.
Awww hope you feel better soon too Kerrie xx my daughter is being very dramatic about me starving them lol ! X

well the girls poo has returned to normal... so they had a tiny bit of veggies last night and this morning...

just waiting for my son to improve now ! he has lost nearly a stone in 2 days... nothing on him - he is only little ! he is sipping lucozade at the moment as advised by the nurse...

omg... poor lad! Does he have a nasty bug then?
He was ill few weeks ago with a bowel infection & had same symptons tuesday :( only took him to see nurse today cos thats a lot of weight to loose in 2 days for a kid....

Glad the piggies are getting better.
That is a lot of weight for your son to loose so quickly, but I seem to remember children pick up again very fast once they can keep food in their system. A pharmacist friend told me Coke a Cola is good for tummy upsets, it must be the real thing and flat. When I had salmonella poisoning I had bottles of coke lined up in the kitchen with the lids off as it was taking ages to loose it's bubbles.
