hello all

I was cleaning out my pigs today and did my weekly health check and claw trimming when i noticed that brosie's poos are really soft and squidgy. I know this means something but i cant remember what. All the others are fine and have normal piggy poos.

Does anyone have any suggestions? They are all happy pigs who eat and wheek for england and they all live inside.

It's probably just a sign of too many veggies that may have upset his tum...one of my boys occasionally gets soft poo's when he has cucumber/melon/tomatoes as they are watery so limit his amount.
Keep an eye on Brosie, maybe withold any veg for 24 hours if possible (hard when they live with other piggies :() - avoid gassy veggies like greens, broccoli etc. for a few days too.
If he's eating pellets and hay etc. gusto, he will be getting the nutrition he needs from those. If you have a probiotic available, always worth giving the required amount as this balances the gut flora and settles little tummies - I swear by Fibreplex and keep some in stock.
Keep us updated on Brosie and hope he's ok very soon :)p

Thanks guys. I have already given them corn on the cob today and am out at the minute but i will make sure she has no veggies tomorrow.

I have never heard of fibreplex so i will have to look that up x
