If you give plenty of veg then these are not needed. I was advised veg is a much better way to give them that the soluble vitamins. I feed a nice variety all rich in vitamin c twice a day.

Really you want them to drink as much water as possible it keeps them healthy and avoids health troubles... and so avoiding anything that might put them off or make the water taste funny is best. If you have 2 piggys in a cage its hard to tell how much each has had and piggys drink differering amounts... I have piggys that take a sip a day and piggys that drink half a huge bottle so its not an exact science.

So my view is plenty of vitamin c enriched veggies and leave out the suppliments, unless your piggy is sick and you have been adviced by a guinea pig vetinarian to provide them.

totally agree with Susie good fresh veggies and a good dry mix both supply enough vitamins, I have used the vitamins shown and still have a bottle in emergencys if for instance one is ill and is'nt eating much but that said metatone is much better so is brewers yeast,

I agree with Susie - good post Susie!

Just as long as you are giving him a daily viarity of veggies, he won't need it.
