Sorry not sure if the size will be big enough- I only have 3.

But just double check that if its a summer house it won't get too hot when theyre out there. Hopefully another herd owner will have a better idea on size. Xx

:D I currently have 6 piggies living in a bedroom measuring approx 12' X 8' , divided into three cages. I would think that 12' would be long enough. Could you not make it any wider?

@Wiebke Ideas on sizing? I am thinking you've bound to have had 8 in a group at some point :)

You compute the minimum space by adding 2 ft square for every piggy. 2x10 ft or 4x5 ft (i.e 20 ft square in whatever shape and form) is the minimum ground space you need to provide for a herd of eight. The more the better though!

Of course! They are now in a 8' x 18'' 3 tier hutch.....but we are re vamping in our new shed for them and at the moment my boys have not got enough room so making theirs bigger

Thanks very much for that.....we have now extended depth so overall 30ft square. That calculation has really helped for us to give my boys more space too....thank you
