So hi guys, I'm back to Guinea Pigs keeping again!

I have with myself 2 baby boars, but today, I realized that the new packaging Burgess said "Adult food", so I guess it's not very recommended for them, now?

Also, is Oxbow a better option compared to Burgess? Tbh, Oxbow is cheaper in Singapore when you compare weights, but personally really love the smell of Burgess and all, so went ahead with it first... Think I might switch to Oxbow if it's better.

I think oxbow are great- with their foods and their supplements, but is quite expensive compared to most foods for shipping to the UK. I have used burgess for around 5 years, and never had any issues. For the past 6 months or so i switched to Oxbow cavy cuisine (now called oxbow essentials), as i have a piggy with bladder issues, and a piggy with heart/kidney issues- i switched as oxbow was lower in calcium than burgess so better for bladder/kidney problems. My girls werent overly keen at first, but once id gradually introduced it and got to a point of only oxbow in the bowl- they soon realised that was all they where getting and now eat it very well. You can get oxbox in "junior" for younger pigs too.

However I am a firm believer in no food is "best" as a general rule- there are some definate no's with some brands, but it really does come down to the individual pigs in the end :)

Thank you.
Yep, I've switched from Oxbow to Burgess a few years back when Oxbow ran out here-- I've stuck to them since because they smelled so great!
But the price is a little pulling me off considering Oxbow is much cheaper than Burgess in my country (Because both need to be imported!), and considering I've read that the unmolassed beet pulp is an issue?

If oxbow is cheaper then personally i would switch.. It is excellent quality food so you definately wont be "downgrading"! As long as you introduce the food gradually and they tolerate it :)

Really thank you for your helps!
To be honest, I just do a cold turkey switch because the shop were giving them mixed food which I don't like! (Don't judge me, it's hard to find Guineapigs abandoned here and need rescuing here!) So I changed them directly to Burgess. Guess I'll mix it with Oxbow until they're done! Just went out to buy a bag of Cavy Performance!
