Hi everyone been busy today! I am so impressed with myself. I always said I'd only ever do pads and liners and I decided to try something different and it really paid off. Totally got the big for sewing.
My back sure hurts right now though! Haha.

Wow you are quite talented! I've been wanting to try some sewing for the piggies for some time now, but so far I've only done a hay bag. :) Your piggies must be so excited with all their lovely new tunnels.

Your tunnels look lovely, you must have really took your time to get such a good finish!:clap:Hope fully your back will will recover soon, I also have severe upper back pain when sewing so I know how you feel. I can only sew so much and then it becomes too much! :))
Your hard work has produced some excellent results.
Your piggys are very lucky!

They look amazing and I love the birdie fleece.
Did you sew from a tutorial, or make them up as you went along?
And I would love to know what you used to keep the openings open (if that makes sense)?

Aww thanks everyone. I just made them up myself from looking at other items I had bought or that were for sale! I used foam to keep everything open. I'm so impressed with how they turned out as I am a complete novice. I just mostly guessed measurements and lucked out completely.

your works look better than the ones from the shops! It is a great satisfaction to do something handmade for people and pets we love...
congratulations!
(you are ready for selling your items online!)

Thats very kind of you. I'm not sure they are good enough to sell. Wonky seams galore but I'm very pleased with them :D

They look fab I have been looking online for one of these for my boys - I'm having issues at the moment with a fleece blanket I am using on their shelf - Dexter is obsessed with it & barely comes out! I want to get them one of these half tunnel things so he's a bit less unsociable!

Aww. Are you any good with sewing? They aren't too complicated to make to be honest.

No I wouldn't have a clue! I have no idea how you make them sturdy... I'll have to order one just need to decide what I want. Some things are too wide for the shelf... I have to do something though he's ridiculous! Haha

Those are brilliant.
I have trouble keeping the opening of the tubes and cuddle cups open, they are fine until the boys sit on them. I tried some corsetry boning but struggled to push it through the fleece as the little spikes on it stick in. Have just found some smooth boning on ebay so am going to try threading that through the tops of the tunnels.
