I've not been on here lately, forgot I was a member here until earlier!

This is Rose (enjoying a dandelion leaf!) - she's about 10 months old and lives on her own now (she was with my other girls... it's a long story) but hopefully will be getting her a companion soon.

This is Megan - she's recently turned 2 years old.

This is Daisy - also recently turned 2 years old and I got her with Megan but I haven't a clue if they're sisters or not, they could be cousins.

This is Penny - she's almost 2 years old and the reason why Rose isn't with them anymore lol

This is Erin - she's also almost 2, possibly Penny's sister as I adopted them together. Also the other reason why Rose isn't with them anymore lol

This is Todd - he's recently turned 3 years old and had lost a lot of weight a few months ago when he had a skin problem but that all cleared up and he's gaining weight again. He's a very sensitive boy.

This is Robin - he's recently turned a year old. He's a bolshy little so-and-so! No, seriously that was my fault as his cage-mate was ill and got most of my attention when Robin was needing important handling and socialising! But we're getting there.

Oh, and just because he has a cute tummy! This is Clymo, my rabbit, sun-bathing last month!

My girlfriend got me a new camera for my birthday last week so I've been fiddling about with that since and hopefully going to get a lot more decent photos of my herd (and Clymo), because those were taken on my mobile!

Lol, yea she does! She's got that splodge on her nose and one over her left eye, and she's pure white the rest of her body :) I just put some of them into their runs and got my camera out, turned it on and it decided to die on me lol so nevermind! :p

It's not overly interesting lol but I had got Rose last November, originally to be cage-mates with my girlfriend's lone sow, Honey. I don't live near my girlfriend and hadn't the money to take Rose down to her until recently. From the end of January, Rose had been in with my 4 girls and got on absolutely fine, then last Friday I took her down, Honey was petrified of Rose and vice versa but it's nothing neither of us hadn't seen before in guinea-pigs so kept them together for the night. There were no injuries, they just didn't 'click'. Rose was far too nervous and withdrawn for Honey to feel anything but fear around, so I had to bring Rose home with me. Got home and put her with my girls again and sparks were flying. Penny and Erin kept going for her, not wounding her, just pulling fur out but that was far enough for me. Megan had always been like a 'surrogate mum' to all the younger ones because, well I feel, she's been a mother before and both Erin and Rose would always stay by Megan's side a lot so she wasn't a problem, and neither was Daisy.

Anyway, I left them in the run together until I put them back as they had calmed down a lot, but as soon as I put them in the hutch again, they just went completely insane. I've never seen the girls react like they did. I put Erin and Daisy in my conjoined run (one in each side) and Rose in my big wooden run, and left Penny and Megan together in the hutch. They were all petrified and I just burst into tears because I realised what a mistake I'd made. I dread to think what the neighbours thought of hearing me crying as much as I did! But I was distraught, I thought 'I haven't got any spare bottles or bowls!' lol, and also I was distressed about only seeing my girlfriend for a short space of time, it all came out at once lol

I sat cuddling Rose for a few minutes in the run and then thought I had to get them put away. I managed to put Erin and Daisy back in with the other two and had Rose inside for the night and thought I'll try again the next day but I'll bath them this time. So I bathed them all together so they could be around each other the whole time and it worked perfectly! .... For about 10 minutes and Penny and Erin were chasing Rose again rolleyes

Rose had a disgusting start as well. She was kept in a pet store in a small 3ft x 2ft (approx.) cage with two rather large rabbits (compared to her they were anyway) and a male guinea-pig... You can imagine why I feel so guilty at the mistake I made for her.

Good news is, my girlfriend got Honey a new friend yesterday, and she's GORGEOUS! She looks like a Dutch, gingery cream in colour, and even though she's very young still, we think she's a Sheltie, like Honey :) It's lovely because Honey came right out of her shell with the new baby, even groomed her on their first meeting and Honey squealed in complete terror when Rose went anywhere near her lol!

So yea, that's what happened, it was totally my fault, I should have known better and now she's on her own again but I shall find her the perfect little herd to be a part of :)

Best of luck in finding 'lil Rose a new herd. Poor girl, not much fun for her or you at all by the sound of it. Wheeks from my girls to her.

They are all gorgeous! I love Roses's nose and Robins coat. I was going through the pictures really quick and had to do a double take at the pic of the bunny. I wasn't sure if it was alive until I read the caption. Glad to know he was just relaxing!

Awww, all your piggies are really beautiful x)

They are all lovely. My girlfriend won't let me have a herd. She says us two and the two boars we already have are enough of a herd already. :( Boo hiss!

I hope that you can find poor Rose a new friend! Bonding can be rather more intricate than you might think. Sadly, once piggies have made up their mind about somepig not being part of "us", that's it!

oh heck :{
I'm sorry it went all totally wrong :( but it sounds now that it will all work out well for all the pigglies xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
keep us posted on little Honey and her new friend and then when Rose finds a friend :)

Well, I was going to make a new thread about it but I can put it here can't I? :)

Yesterday, I got two new little sows, haven't chosen names yet but throwing ideas around. I like Rivka and Rowen but I don't know yet!

The trouble is, only the one I've 'named' Rivka is ok with Rose lol, the other, Rowen, is very confident and bossy and Rose doesn't like that lol so I've kept them apart for the time being until they get older because they're only about 4/5 weeks old, roughly. They're only little handfuls of Aby fluffs at the moment and I don't want Rose to hurt them too much.

I'll add pics later in the week, they're beautiful, I know others will love them :)
