My friend said to me today 'your really lucky you got two friendly tame guinea pigs'

I was like ... no I got two nervous guinea pigs , but I actually let mine out of the cage and hold them mallethead.

I don't think her's ever are allowed out of the cage , get a piece of apple once a week , hay maybe once a week too (a tiny pile) and thats it ... so annoying

rant over ... just needed to let off steam..

i wish people would look after there piggies better! i can see why your ranting lol n all guineapigs get nervous but give them a carrot n there trust you more hehe

how much is too much

I know after about 20 minutes my two guinea pigs that I've had since December get to be a bit restless - but how often each day should I hold them?
And when I'm holding them and they start to fuss and chirp for one another again (because my boyfriend and I hold 1 each and separately otherwise one pees on the other) .....

just tend to get mine out and they tell me when they want to go home , sometimes when they're restless they want the toilet ... and you sound like your doing a good job taming them

Yes, they do tend to pee sometimes - even when they are being held separately - thank goodness for towels
