Been on a very special outing to St Helen's today to bring home some new friends... its Lavender and Luna!
They don't want to come out of their carrier yet! But they brought their own C&C cage and food bowls and water bottle and haytray and lots of their own lovely fleeces and even some familiar veg so I'm sure they'll settle in and be out and about soon :)

How lovely ! I’m sure they’ll be exploring very soon - looking forward to some piggies pics 🥰

Oh lovely 🥰 Can’t wait to see them when they are settled.

Luna is an elderly and very pretty white floof- she hasnt left the carrier yet but did just accept a slice of pepper from my hand when I did the "piggy dinners" round :)
Lavender is a younger very sleek, chubby and shiny lilac girl with gorgeous red eyes and huge ears and paws and a very majestic nose! She has now relocated herself to their hay tray but wasnt accepting hand fed bribes just yet, still a bit twitchy nervous, so I tucked her pepper slice in the hay for her :)
I think both girls like peaflakes and they arrived with a jar of them which might help us befriend them! Piggy daddy might go try a peaflake friendship offering later on after his evening care work shift, I dont want to harass them too much and they have pellets, kale, hay and a waterbottle all within easy reach so they should be fine left to settle :)

Luna and Lavender have decided they arent too shy to start wheeking for room service! They must have heard me cleaning out the other piggies downstairs, talking in my piggy voice and clonking food bowls and water bottles about and washing up... there was a beautiful little "wheeeek?"
Which took me a minute to figure out who was wheeking... none of the eight usual suspects... then a bolder "wheek? Wheek wheek wheeeek? Wheek wheek wheek!"
Hand fed coriander and peaflakes it is ladies :)
They have clearly been very well loved and looked after @Roclibrarian they know all about training hoomans to dispense snacks on demand- none of our other piggies dared wheek for food and come over to be hand fed so soon!
Luna is more relaxed about it, but Lavender while more nervous doesnt want to miss any potential treats!

I'm so glad we could help and take them straight from a loving home to a new loving home so close by, with all their own things with them to make the transition easier for them!
Piggy daddy is completely in love already, he's spent the whole day hovering by the door to their room (formerly my office but now their room!) with a bunch of herbs and a jar of peaflakes just in case a little nose appears wanting a snack :)

I see they've knocked the fleece house over and the fleece tunnel is flat 😂. That'll be Luna, she loves her comfort preferring to lie on top of all the padding rather than under it.

Loving the updates, so nice to see they happy already.

Running water sets their guinea pig alarms off because I always washed my hands just before getting their veg ready.
Piggies are creatures of habit aren't they. They're really smart the way they realise certain ques mean things.

Yes that was it, I was washing the main herd's food bowls and water bottles and I had to sweet talk Jezzy into giving up the bottle with a coriander bribe, then I was running water for ages...! And also then running upstairs to see if I could offer a snack to the lovely new wheekers :)
