...and perfected a new trick!

Well done Tallulah-oolah for learning to climb the C&C bars like a hamster to reach the roof of your first carrot cottage... and well done piggy daddy for giving my mad chocolate shadow girl such incentive for learning to climb then leaving the top panel off the cage while doing the poop scoop...!

Clever girl Tallulah.
Now all you have to do is learn how to climb from the top of the carrot cottage out of the cage to freedom :yahoo:
It was very close, piggy daddy is a for going off to empty the bin full of poops without putting the cage panels back... with the back door and back gate open too because tomorrow is bin emptying day! Good job its cold and oollah-woollah likes a minimum of 17 degrees and wont venture into a draft...!

If you want tallulah to reach the carrot cottage roof easier, you probably don't need to bother, but just incase. I cut a bit off the bottom all the way round. 👍. For when Dot wasn't so fit with her tumour

Ollie is already trying to bite through all the way round about 2 inches up to create disabled access, I was concerned neither of them could reach the roof but piggy daddy pointed out that they are both far too clever for their own good and very determined, and that finding a way to reach the roof might keep them from getting bored, and boy was he right! They learned a couple of weeks ago that the way to get the haycube roof was to bite through halfway up, I bet the carroty bit is claimed and toppled and shredded by next weekend :) otherwise I'll chop it low for Ollie like I used to do the haycubes until he learned to bite through the sides and also flip them over!

It's got to be good for their brains. And muscles working it all out and stretching to get up there
Yes that's what piggy daddy thought, they both get a bit bored I think with just the 2 of them in a 4x2 cage, they get 3 hours playpen time twice a week and Tallulah loves the space to run but Ollie is more of a deep thinker not an athlete, and after he's fought his way into a couple of paper bags and eaten the herbs he just sleeps until its hometime... and Tallulah wont do anything without her beloved Ollie, if I expand the playpen she gets distressed that he's too far away! They love collaborative chewing ventures, they've totally mastered haycube destruction so we've moved on to a carrot cottage plus I ordered them a large haytube made of haycube stuff, it rolls so will be tricky but will hopefully keep them busy!

Sound like a lovely couple, I wish my two were like this. Unfortunately dot hates bernie being too close, but if he wasn't there she would miss him.. Its a weird relationship. On floor time they get along great because there's more to do. I'm thinking on a bigger cage, but after a while I doubt itl make a difference

There must be something in the air....I went to my boys this morning to find their carrot cottage on its side facing the other way .... they have never done anything like that before! Just wish I’d been here to see them do it - I’m thinking they must have been kept busy building all sorts of complicated pulleys....

I've just seen Ollie's technique, he goes inside then popcorns like mad so the house bounces up and down until it finally flips over!

Today we have introduced the Rosewood Hay'n'Hide edible tunnel, with a fleecy pee pad in case they want to sleep in it... 5 seconds in its an instant hit, they went straight for it and ignored the fleecy beds and freshly filled hay room!
