Hello everyone. I’m very new to this site. I made an account as I wanted to see if anyone has also experienced this. My guinea pig (sow) has had this in her eye ever since she was given to me. It doesn’t seem to be hurting her, but it still concerns me. I thought it could be pea eye but I have doubts. I’ll take her to a vet if necessary. Thanks!DB42B4B4-B94F-4D11-BB75-CA128EBBCB72.webp

I’d just take her to the vet to be sure. Good luck.

Hi!

Prolapsed tissue can be a sign of a conjunctivitis. Please contact a vet for an assessment.

My guinea pig had this last week and has now cleared up by eye drops from the vet. Like Wiebke said, conjunctivitis. Please do not try and home treat but go to the vet. Although it may not seem to bother her, if she starts scratching it then it could cause much more damage than the simple eye drops from the vet could have resolved in the first instance.
