Hey everyone, today I noticed my 5 year old guinea pig opening her mouth odly at times, like she's trying to get something out. She's eating normally atm but it keeps recurring, her back teeth were checked in august and were fine so I'm not sure if her teeth are the cause or not. I have suspicion that she ate some of her new aspen shavings bedding and a piece got stuck, as I saw them trying to eat it when I changed it to aspen today. I have a video of her doing the weird mouth thing.

I would speak to the vet if you are concerned. She may have something caught in her back teeth.
(As a side note, issues with piggy teeth can happen quickly so just because they were checked and ok in August, does not mean they are ok now)

Oh sorry to hear this. It's nearly impossible to get a piggie to open its mouth.
I really think a you need to see a vet to get it sorted. . Could be teeth foreign object etc

I would definitely seek an Appoinment with the vet, hope she’s alright x
