I’ve noticed something growing on my piggies chin, it’s quite and I have no idea what it could be. Tried looking online but haven’t seen anything similar. Any help please?

Welcome to the forum.
Please would you explain what the picture means?
Are you concerned about something?
If so, tell us and we will be able to help.

Sorry, new here and accidentally uploaded before I’d finished the title and post - have amended now

Is it connected to the skin?
A vet is really the only person who can help if you are concerned

Does your piggy live with a cagemate? Are they boars?

It rather looks like something stuck on the chin and I thought it could be boar glue

Hi!

Do you have boars because that looks like a bit of boar glue (dried semen fluid) to me? Unfortunately the only way you can get rid of it is by cutting it gently out or waiting for it to come off on its own. 'Boar glue' is a very appropriate description!

No, I had to separate a few weeks ago due to bad fighting - there’s nothing In there that could get stuck to him, tried to get it off but it won’t move

OK - I was obviously too enthusiastic in welcoming you :D
It does take time to get the hang of posting.
I’ve hit post too soon a few times.
Glad to see you have some answers

Yeah it’s a boar but he lives on his own - got separated a few Weeks ago due to fighting

It is self-inflicted. Boars can get their own semen fluid on their face when picking up redigestible poos (caecotrophs), cleaning themselves and occasionally even masturbating. :mal:

Oh right, thank you - was thinking it was something serious🙈

That's what we are here for...
We'd rather you asked more often than too late! Piggies can throw real curve balls.
Please take the time to read our boar care guide as boars need to have their bits checked and maintained regularly. it also helps you to spot some of the more common issues!
