Sorry to hear this. I hope someone with knowledge can help- sorry I don’t have any advice myself but I’m sure others might.

Have you felt them and the area just above on the belly side to see whether there could be an urethral stone, which would be hard. She may have a very strong season but it could also indicate a potential infection of the reproductive tract. If the swelling is still there and she is not quite right first thing tomorrow morning please see a vet.

Piggies react differently to the body of a deceased cagemates.
Sometimes they have already said their goodbyes and don’t need , or want contact with the body.
It’s normal behaviour.
It was definitely the right thing to do to let her sister have the opportunity to see and smell her.

Just hope daisy will be OK she has roxy in the pen next too her but still it was her sister I feel so crushed she was great this morning eating her pellets her hay and drinking and then now this am gutted

So sorry for your loss. Sometimes things can do downhill with piggies very quickly, even with the very best of care. It’s really sad and so difficult as the owner to go through this. Lots of people on this forum have been through sudden issues like this and they understand how gutted you are feeling right now. Take care as you grieve.
