As some of you know my two level hutch has a fabric tunnel that helps the guys go up and down the ramp, they love the tunnel and for weeks I have had no problems at all.

Then during a stormy night the next morning the tunnel was off the ramp and I had two pigs down stairs and two upstairs - I blamed flash for his habit of rearranging things but the following day it was off again, all 4 were curled up inside it, so I managed to stick it on and had no further problems (its attached with velcro).

Yesterday the tunnel was again off and as it was dry I could get them out the hutch and remove the ramp to attach a bannister. What is happening is now they are bigger and more mature they keep trying to pass each other and then end up stepping off the ramp bringing the tunnel with them. I purposefully put the shoe box in the prime area to cushion any falls and this worked well but now they have a bannister I dont have to worry about them stepping off the sides as they cant any more.

We have bannisters on our ramps as the boys do not do single file :(|)
Just gives you peace of mind that they can't fall off etc. and if like our piggies, race up and downstairs :{

I have my big ramp at the back and it is lined by tight mesh grids on both sides, as things can get a bit interesting during "traffic jams"!
