Sonny's not well

My OH just was cuddling him and noticed a sore on him, i had him and have seen that they're all over his back! i got straight on the phone and he's off to the vets at 220pm, I feel so guilty, he's not wanted a cuddle for a couple of days and seemed a bit stressed, so i left him to it as i couldnt see anything on him, now he's covered :...8...:0:(
 
i just held him and cried because i feel so guilty, last night he bit himself and shouted a bit, just thought he was scratching too hard
 
thank you so much cheree, i do love them to bits. i hate it when they're unwell, but he didnt have these sores yesterday
 
Aww Claire, the others won't get it as he isn't with them right now so they should be ok, just check them out though, I'm sure you already have.

I would contact the store you got Sonny from they should pay for the treatment. Keep us posted. :)

Hope it goes well at the vets, don't blame yourself, we've all been in a similar situation I should think! At least he could see the vet today, I'm sure it will be treated in no time

i've checked the girls,and they're fine! sonny hated his injection, but i'm sure it's loads better than being in the pain he's in. xxxxxxxxxxx
 
he's going to be ok, but there are lots of small lesions on his back. bless him, he really was trying not to have the nasty injection. bless him, cant believe he's so tiny and all cut on his back.
 
Don't feel guilty, piggies are good at hiding problems. Hope he's feeling better soon xx
 
Sorry to hear about Sonny Claire. I no how you feel as Connie isn't well at the minute either and she also hated having her steroid injections :( It's awful when our babies are ill but he will get better soon and he is getting the best treatment ever :) Connie and Eliza send him their love xx

Yes, keep the bill and take it to the pet shop and get your money back grrrr

aww,he said that when he's all better,they must come round for a celebratory carrot and ruby salad with him! thank you honey. I hope Connie's better soon. x

the vet said its from moving from his mommy, to the pet shop, to here and then the cold weather doesn't help x
 
So sorry to hear he's not well, but you noticed it quickly and got him treatment right away - please give him a kiss from me.
 
he's been smothered with kisses, i'll give him some more from his fairiegodmother sue cxxx

Don't feel guilty at all. You did the right time ... you acted quickly as soon as you found the problem. Guinea pigs do mask illnesses etc. and probably the stress of moving did not help.

Hope all goes well for him now xx
 
well,i literally phoned the vets the second i saw it, i wasn't leaving it at all. he had the first invec (SP?) injection on saturday and i havent risked cuddling him since as he got stressed when i last held him,he was in sooo much pain. but i keep stroking his face and chin, he's still nervy,but he's bound to be. poor little thing. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
