My gorgeous girl Sookie left us today. She became ill back in August and had to have one of her kidneys removed, she made a miraculous recover only to have her remaining kidney fail. She was a fighter until the end and exceeded all of my and my vets expectations. I'm so glad I got those extra months with her and don't know what I'll do now she's gone.
Sookie came to me 4 years ago. Still just a baby even though she had a daughter, Sherbet. Who will, no doubt, miss her as much as I do. She was a wonderful mummy to Sherbet and one of the sweetest piggies I have ever known.

She loved her chin rubs.

nomming on dandelions.

and having cuddles with her friends.

I can't put into words how much she will be missed by her human family as well as her piggy family.
RIP my gorgeous little Sookie sausage.

Oh no, I am so sorry. My heart sank as I read her name. You did everything you could for your beautiful special girl. She was an utter stunner and fought so hard, it obvious how much you loved her and she you in return. Massive hugs to you x

Sleep well beautiful girl

RIP Sookie
x x

I am very sorry that Sooky has lost her battle! You have certainly done your best to give her a very happy and as long a life as possible.

RIP Sooky

Thank you all for your kind words. I dropped Sookie off at the vets an hour ago where she will be cremated.
Sherbet and Rio seem to be holding up ok, she was with them when she passed so hopefully that will help them understand what happened.

So sorry to see your special girl has left you. She was a true fighter but sometimes it's just their time to go. You worked so hard to keep her safe and well. Be proud of her and your beautiful memories of her.

Oh poor you, poor Sookie, I am so sorry. I love her name by the way.
At least you have the satisfaction of knowing you did everything possible.

So sorry for your loss :-(. Sorry i only just noticed this thread. she sounds and looks like she was a very special girl x ((hugs))

Thanks everyone. I just got Sookie's ashes back today. But it still hasn't really hit me that she's gone, I keep looking over at the cage and expecting to see her. I keep cutting up their veggies into three pieces so they all get a bit then realising that I only have two pigs to feed.
I've put her ashes with a collection of my fav photos of her and placed them next to the ashes of her friend Pumpkin who passed away a few years ago. Hopefully they are together now popcorning and eating dandelions.

sorry you lost sookie, rip beautiful xx

i have a piggy with kidney probs at the moment, sadly its just a waiting game
