Hi all, Sooty is making a strange sound and I'm taking her to the vets later today, I was just wondering if these symptoms sound familiar and what I could expect the vet to say please.

She sounds a bit like something creaking or a teeth grindy sound and appears to be in conjunction with her breathing, she is also very slightly nodding her head at the same time. Yesterday she did sneeze a few times, but not today, her nose and eyes are completely clear of any wateriness or gunge etc.

Everything else about her is normal, she's eating, drinking etc, not lethargic, she seems otherwise very happy and isn't being bullied. Their bedding is vet bed sleeping bags, the cage lining is also vet bed on newspaper.

I was wondering if she had a URI, but the symptoms don't really match the description on Guinea Lynx, unless it's the very early stages. Thank you for reading and for for any possible suggestions.

We are back from the vets and had dinner. :))

The vet said her chest is clear and her heart sounds fine, he said she is just a bit nasally, I guess a bit sort of snotty, she is on antibiotics twice a day for a week. If she gets worse or is no different in a week, then he recommended having x-ray.

He also said her and her friend, we took Pickle, are in great shape and look really well. :(|)

Something has obviously got up her nose :)), their hay is dust free hay and it actually is very dust free, it could be the hessian sack it came in or dog hair, general dust, cockatiel feathers or could it be guinea pig hair? @)

I'll post up next week on how's she doing.
