Sophie is off to see Simon Maddock on Tuesday. On Friday night I noticed that she was faffing with a green bean and taking much longer than usual to eat the rest of her veg. Ross looked at her teeth and her incisors are slanted so something is going on. She is ok in herself, not lost weight, poos are normal and she is eating hay ok, if a bit slower than usual. She is no stranger to the Cat and Rabbit clinic as she was with Tim when he had his retrobulbar abscess and his eye was removed. She was an angel when he was poorly, Tim is not quite so accommodating and does not understand that humping her while she is trying to eat is not a good idea, little sod.

Monitoring Barley too as he is mouthing a bit with his pellets. Hopefully just my paranoia but he had an infected incisor a few months back so if they can squeeze him in I will take him along. Not hopeful they will be able to though the week before Christmas.

Hope she's ok! Sounds like she's coping ok for the moment. Good luck for Tuesday!

Oreo is going to Cat and Rabbit Clinic on Wednesday for his teeth! I just booked although I thought I did yesterday morning. Thankfully, I was able to book my original appointment.

All the best for your trips to "Uncle Simon"! it is always a worry so shortly before the holidays!

I am booked in for the new year with a checkup on Nosgan's eye and a neuter for little Nye, who is going to be big enough for the snip by then...

Sophie saw Simon on Tuesday, he tidied up her back teeth and filed some sharp bits. Unfortunately she has not eaten for herself since which is very unusual so is off to see Simon again tonight. She has an appointment booked for Wednesday but could not leave her over Christmas. She does seem brighter this morning though and had made it up into her hayloft overnight, whereas she has struggled with the leap onto her ramp the last few days. We also have poos, though not very well formed ones.

They are on their way home so am not too sure. Simon thinks she has an abscess at the front right plus he found a large bladder stone which he has been able to remove thank goodness.

Sophie is much brighter today, not surprised she was so down, here is her stone.

Sophie is back off to Simon again on Monday afternoon. Am hoping it is just me being paranoid but she seems to be gagging on her veg again and mouthing. Not all the time and she hasn't lost any more weight but best to get her checked in case the abscess is starting to resurface. She is ok in herself and seems more energetic now she is smaller.

Sophie saw Simon today and I am so glad I took her, had been considering cancelling as she had improved. He found another small stone which was removed. She also had a spur on her back teeth that had cut her tongue and one of her bottom incisors is chipped and a bit wobbly. He has cut it lower than the other one so it wears properly and we have to monitor to see what happens. It may fall out itself, or it may need to be removed, possibly under anaesthetic.
