I just noticed Sophie's breathing is a little funny. She does not sound chesty but it is a little noisier then usual. She does have loud breathing anyway but the vet said it is the way she is and maybe as a baby she had an infection. She is eating and drinking as well as wheeking so tomorrow she will go to the vet. I really hope she is okay. I really feel panicy when any of them are unwell.

Ahh bless her hope she's ok! Is this your little blonde one that looks like my greedy?

Oh no, I do hope everything's okay. Be well Sophie :laluot_29: and stop worrying your Mummy, she's been through enough. x

Bless her! I hope that it is just one of these things that will go away on its own.

Just wanted to send some love and piggy kisses to Sophie, i hope she will be ok. Hugs to you and hubby x

I think it's natural to feel panicy, but I hope all goes well at the vets tomorrow. Sending healing thoughts to Sophie.

good luck with Sophie, hope its nothing. Far too many sick piggies at the moment its heartbreaking :0

Oh no. My advice would be to keep the temperature at an equal temp throughout and see how she goes. So ensuring at night when the heating goes off etc, that she has continued heat.

Big vibes Sophie, c'mon your worrying your mummy.

How odd as I posted the news as soon as I knew. Some how it was not on my thread? Sophie has an infection and has been given baytrill to take twice a day. She is well and eating and drinking so the vet said it is a mild infection. They gave her a full health check and said she is very healthy otherwise. They advised me not to place big piles of hay down as it is not good for her chest. Poor Sophie hates the baytrill even with added apple juice.

Thank you for asking about her. :)

So glad your special girl is ok, hopefully the baytrill will blast away that infection!

Awww Sophie, having to take that icky baytril... you poor girl. Get well soon so that mummy can relax. :laluot_29::laluot_29::laluot_29:

Sorry I missed this thread, haven't been on forum as much past few days. Wanted to send Sophie lots of healing vibes. x

How is she today?

Sophie is doing well apart from when she needs to take her medication. She is eating and drinking and also not letting Ehab take over as top piggy!

The forum was down for a while yesterday and i think they lost some posts because i posted as soon as you did to wish Sophie well and as soon as i posted the forum went down, and none of the posts were on the thread, if that makes sense?

Glad she is doing ok, more healing wheeks xx

Hi PiggyFan, only just seen this. Hope she is feeling better soon. When Doris had her chest problems my vet advised to lightly steam the hay before putting it in the cage to remove any extra dust. But not too much so that the hay is wet.

Just thought I would let everybody know that Sophie has finished the course of medication and is now well again. :)
