Sore Swollen Eye

Can anyone help me my guinea pig has a sore eye and I've just noticed it. It doesn't look as though it's causing him discomfort but idk help!

The picture doesn't do it justice but the underside of his eye is crusty and swollen slightly

I can't quite see in the photo, it could be one of 4 things:

Eye infection
Hay poke or other injury
Upper respiratory infection
Ringworm

I would get him to the vet to get it checked out.

Please see a vet for appropriate treatment. He will be able to check the eye properly, including the conjunctiva tissue and see better where the problem is located and what kind of drops or antibiotics are needed.

I've been to the vet all is good now got eye drops for my wee man

I've actually got 4 guinea pigs two female and two make the females are Pepsi and Shirley and the boys are taz(in photo) and tigger(in picture as well he's the black one taz is the brindle coloured one

Oh no, poor Taz. I hope he get's better soon. We'll be willing him on.

He's getting a fungal cream! So hopefully he'll get better! My poor wee baby!

If the cream doesn't clear it, please ask the vet for oral fungal medication, like Itrafungol. Or you can dip him in the following product which is the same as the Imaverol in the link

Are you ok with what you need to do hygiene wise? does he live with any other pigs?

Sorry, just seen that he lives with a friend. Please keep an eye on him as Ringworm is very contagious.
