Hello. :)p My daughter has a two year old guinea pig named Baby. I stumbled across this site while researching information about guinea pigs and am very glad to have found all of you. As soon as I can I'll introduce myself and explore the site.

We noticed this sore on Baby but it doesn't look like anything I've found on the web. It is on her right hip. We are trying to find a vet in our area that treats guinea pigs. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what it may be.

Hi Baby,
I'm pretty new around these forums too. I've found that Gorgeous Guineas has a very comprehensive lists of symptoms of skin problems piggies might have. You might be able to match up the list of symptoms.
Is she acting like it bugs her or anything?
My little Athena has seemed to have been able to avoid that so far so I have no personal experience to share.
Others may be able to give a better answer :)
I will keep your little Baby pig in my thoughts.

Thank you for the Gorgeous Guinea site. It may be a fungal infection from looking at one of the pictures.
It doesn't seem to bother her, and she's eating and acting normal. Of course my daughter isn't cuddling with her like usual because of this problem so she's acting a bit off about that.

Nope, I was mistaken, didn't see it on there. But I marked the site for furture reference.
