basil seens to get quite a few of these at firsr i thought in was tomatoe so cut these out . yesturday noticed another under lip but all he has been having is cabbage cauli green beans carrots cucumber mango and melon ? any ideas what could be causing it

I would say that mango is fairly high in acid. It also contains a protein-digesting enzyme similar to bromelain and papain which are used to tenderise meat! I would cut-out the mango and see how he goes.

This is a common problem. Usually it is similar to what you would refer to as a "cold sore".
Treatment consists of carefully removing the scabs, then applying Daktarin Oral Gel twice a day for a minimum of 2 weeks.
The scabs must be removed as the Gel will have no effect unless it is applied to the skin itself. Be warned, the pig will probably "object" to having the scabs removed!
