Giving the pigs their dinner tonight I decided to try them with some asparagus. Nope, they still hate it. However I also gave them green beans, and a green bean and an asparagus tip were next to each other...

...and of course, Bann picked the wrong one. You know that face you make when you eat something you don't like and can't get it out of your mouth? Aye. Sorry Bann, but that was still hilarious.

Dear GPU

I have been informed by Bann that he was duped tonight. He thought he was eating a green been and it turned out to be a yukky asparagus tip:yikes:. He did his best to get it out of his mouth. As we piggies all know, this is a very difficult task cos once it's in the mouth it tends to stay in the mouth. All his Slave could do was laugh at Bann's misfortune. I think this is a terrible reaction to a stricken piggie.

Yours hoping to never to hear of such shocking behaviour again

Bann didn't do the pawing thing but that tongue of his was clearly trying to get the icky stuff off, mouth as wide as he could get it. However, and I feel this should be pointed out - when I feed them, I give them something to eat immediately, then while they're preoccupied, the rest of the food gets gently tossed into the cage.

Not only did Bann manage to run into the path of gently tossed lettuce twice (really mate, that's Camowen's job) but I gave him the green bean. The green bean that he put down to munch on coriander. The green bean that he put down right next to the asparagus.

He also didn't bat an eyelid with the lettuce. Maybe he's just used to Camowen's shenanigans by now.

Hilarious just what I needed after a long day with monsoon conditions, I’ve had my 7 on romaine lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, asparagus they didn’t take too so thought basil would work but no thank you, they love parsley and coriander but not mint, tried bananas and strawberries hit and miss with those, they funny little rodents I love them too bits ❤️🐽

I remember when Comet went on a spree of hating everything except spinach (and even then, only if you gave him the leaves stalk first, the fussy git). What made him stop this? Thyme. I was running out of options and figured it'd be too strong for him to consider it and I was very, very wrong. And then he started eating pretty much everything else. At least partly because I think he realised Blitzen would happily eat his share for him and we couldn't have that lol.

Their previous owner did say they didn't like asparagus, but I find it's often worth trying things again every so often. Comet was a great example of why.

Yeah spinach didn’t get touch but will try thyme, can’t get romaine where I’ve been so got them little gems, don’t last long with the 100mph chewers 😂

My Basil did this, this afternoon when I gave him some tomato to try. Never seen a pig so disgusted by food. :))

I’m agreeing with yours boys, I hate asparagus. Horrible taste and makes your pee all stinky :vom:
