Hiya!
One of my pigs, Willow, recently had surgery for a lump which is now gone. After the surgery I did realise her chirps and squeaks were rather raspy, but the vet cleared any respiratory issues during our check ups. 5 weeks later, she still has this raspy sound to her and only just started to make these weird grunt more like deep sounding chirps while she sleeps, though I don't hear it all the time, it has only happened 2-3 times now. I'm not sure why and I'm worried if its something I should be concerned about? Her weight, breathing, eyes, nose etc looks and sounds clear.

You could take her back to the vet to have her checked through again.
But if he vet thinks that it's not a respiratory issue and she is fine in herself, I would probably just keep a close eye on her.
Does your vet know his way about guinea pigs?

It might just be me being overly worried! It may just be her making sounds while she's dreaming (if piggies dream that is), the times it happened now is where she doesn't really react to stuff moving about in front of her. So maybe I'm being silly, but I'll defo keep an eye out to any weight changes or signs of issues going on.

Piggies do dream but you usually see twitching paws, noses or ears. But this doesn't mean that they can"t make sounds in their sleep as well.

She might just be! So far, she's been sleeping curled with here eyes fairly close. Just now she was making a light squeaky sound, eyes closed-ish with like a white part covering the rest of her eyes. Defo feel like dreams, but I'll defo take her to the vet if I see any other issues or a weight drop! To answer your previous vet question that I did miss, I do believe they know piggies a fair bit, not 100% a exotic vet but they do have some vets there who do exotic pets along side a few who have owned piggies :D
Considering the success on the surgery they've done and how they handle my sassy piggy, I do trust them with them! Compared to the other close vet this one is way better!
Thank you for the responses! <3
