With the money you save from the vitamin drops (noting from your thread in medical) try adding in some peppers and coriander to that mix of veg, and leave carrot out - even make that the treat daddy gives her if you can. :)

If only you saw george last night. I bought coriander still growing in a pot for him (we don't really like it). All he did was walk all over it and mash it into the floor. Later I peeled it off the floor and was very disheartened. He is a fussy piggy and only seems to like the so called bad veg like carrots, lettuce, celery & spinach. he hates brocolli, coriander, pepper & he usually has a nibble of parsnip & gets bored in 1 second.

I'm relatively lucky, we have a fruit and veg market in the centre of Belfast every weekend and it's generally a LOT cheaper than Tesco. Failling that, I usually nip to Iceland, but they don't have a wide veggie selection.

My preferred option is still stealing veggies out of my Mum's vegetable crisper when I'm home for a visit. It's always the cucumber that gets me caught out though...I think my Mum might even love it more than my guinea pigs!

Sounds like me, george has still not tried every veg that is ok for piggies. I went round to mum's last week and routed through her fridge & veg rack before "borrowing" some celery to try on george before I buy. We are not big fresh veg eaters in my house so buy veggies mostly for george. I don't want to buy a whole bag of something he might turn his nose up at :))

Haha, we have that in common as well then, I swear, the pigs are living perfectly healthy on five a day, when I'm lucky to get one a day!

Every piece of greenery or fruit that comes into the house ends up on a pig plate, most definitely not on mine!

I have been told off at times for cooking green beans because I was 'stealing the boys' food'... mallethead I like them too so they'll need to learn to share!:))
