Sow Hormones

I have 3 sows. 2 are 18 months old and 1 is 6 years old. The 2 youngsters seem to be in season more frequently lately. The older one chases them around like no tomorrow. It keeps her fit I suppose! They don't fight, just run around and hide. My question is, when do sows stop having their seasons if at all? Is it right that they smell a bit at this time too?
