Butter just isn't doing her "business". She had a bit of hay stuck sideways up her rear end but I sorted that out.

She's been "scent marking" a lot recently, more than the others. I've read the information/treatment on impactation but it refers to boars. I've cut her veg out completely for the last 2 days/stopped there garden grass run about, been watching them v closely since Tuesday night. Checked her last night, can see poop up there, tried bathing with cotton wall and luke warm water.

Think Violet now has an UTI or similar (blood in urine) so all girls on cranberry juice.

What's a girl to do? Advice please. It's all happening at once....can I resolve myself or is it a vet trip?

I know 2 of them aren't themselves because they are being too friendly with me - hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance of your replies.

I am assuming Butter is eating & drinking normally, if not this would explain why there are no poops.

Regarding blood in Violets urine she would need antibiotics to clear any infection if it is a UTI that is causing the blood.

I personally would be taking both girls to the vets & get a diagnosis.

Thanks Niki, I had noticed a big drop off on their fluid consumption but when I got home today they've drunk loads and Butter is now pooping again which is great. Violet is definately off colour, I've managed a lot of cranberry juice yesterday and this evening and have an appointment tomorrow with the vets.

Thanks for the advice, it's always a worry when illness hits and like everyone here we adore our wheekers and just want them to be well and healthy.
