I proberly sound stupid saying this but do boars have long poo's than sows!?

Sows and neutered boars tend to have smaller, straighter poos than Intact boars which have longer. more kidney shaped poos.

(The presence of the testicles helps "shape" the poos prior to being expelled from the large intestine.... hence their characteristic curved appearance)

i dont think there is a difference. in fact i think my little boy does slightly smaller poos than the rest lol (not that i stare at guinea pig poo) :red

Yeah, that's what his are like! Quite long but my sows poo's are smaller!
Guessing it's normal, I was getting worried cause this would be the first male guinea pig I have had!

It sounds as though you've got a healthy male then if he has banana poos. The ones in my pic are from Baldric, my skinny, he has spectacular poo.

Lol!
I think boars are funnier than sows, Alfie popcorns all the time and when we laugh he starts squeaking! He's a loon haha

Suzy I had just taken a sip of my tea when I scrolled down to your photos, and I'm in the office today so me spurting my tea all over the desk and my colleague sitting opposite me, probably didnt go down well! lol

Piggie poops......what a great subject to read during lunch! :)):))

Suzy I was eating chocolate when you posted this! Maltesers too!

Did make me chuckle though. My girls definitely have smaller poos than the boys then!

xx

Hhahaha! I'm glad you've brought this up, Percy-Roo (neutered) poops are 'dainty' like my OH's sisters sows and (neutered) male. Harvey and Artie though are...well..... humongous ! :))

Now I'm worried! My intact boars do poos like stretched rugby balls, not bananas!

Anywhere in between the two types of poo can be completely normal - it's changes in size, shape, consistency or frequency that can point to a problem.

Poo is a very important subject I'll have you lot giggling at the back know! :))

Artie,my very gross boy, likes to sit on his poop (he makes a nice pile then plonks himself on it) eventually all the poop goes flat its gross to say the least .(esp when there is a lovely soft cosie right next to him....)

What a pleasant child you have :)) At least he puts it all in one place though.

Hahaha! Its nice i just wish he wouldn't sit in it, he gets bathed once a week due to him being a gross little boy!
