I was wondering about this the other day..

I understand that for two piggies, the minimum reccomended space is 4x2. But what is the minimum reccomended space for a single piggy - would it be 2x1, which sounds very small?

Anyone got any lone piggers and how much space do they have?

3x2 is the minimum I would use for one pig but I do try and give 4x2 where possible. Depends on the pig, size of animal, do they like a big space etc etc? But 3x2 is my minimum for 1. :)

Thanks :)
I just wondered because I know that although most pigs prefer a pair or more, there are definately some that prefer being on their own!

Lennie was a lone pig and he was in a c & c which was 4 grids by one and three quarters. Each grid was 14" square. We overlapped one of the grids by a quarter to give the 2 next door a bit more room. Ideally 4 x 2 is best though.

Thanks everyone. Our indoor cage is enormous so I'm sure it will be big enough for a piggy. :)
