Sparrow is unwell!

Poor little Sparrow is not well. She has had a weepy eye for a couple of days and since yesterday has a discharge from her nose and is not eating properly.

I will phone the vet first thing in the morning to get an appointment for tomorrow. She is a little sweetheart ... I hand-reared her and she is now 4 years old.

Fingers crossed for her please.
I recently lost Stuart from trio so I am praying that she will be ok.

You could let her have a quick sniff of Olbas oil, it will help clear her nose, it seems as though she may have conjunctivitis.

Thanks everyone. Sparrow got on well at the vet this evening, she was a very good girl.

She has a noisy left lung so has been prescribed Baytril twice a day for 5 days. Also Fucithalmic eye ointment at 1 drop twice a day.

Sparrow was 4 years old back in August and this was her first visit to the vet ... considering I hand-reared her by syringe on puppy milk sachets, she has done really well health-wise.

Fingers crossed that she will improve as she is a tiny little thing weighing in today at 750g. She certainly perked up when she came back home.
