Just curious...have been reading threads lately and am interested.

If you have a pair of males and one passes away can you get a spayed sow and they should get along okay? I mean, I know certain piggies don't like certain piggies, I don't mean it like that...I mean would be boar annoy the sow trying to mate with her or wouldn't he?

Just interested really, it's good to know things before the situation happens, you know? I'm hoping I wont have to make a decision like this for many years but hey, it's good to be prepared.

I'll stop rambling now, I have no idea whether I made any sense or not ;D

Uhh...

I mean er, say for instance.

I have a unneutered boar
I have a spayed sow
I put them together
Would the boar try to mate with the sow causing her to get annoyed with him?

Oh i get it. I don think so, although it probly would annoy her

Well someone with more knowledge than me will come along but if a sow has been spayed she wont come into season, therefore the boar should be as inticed to try to mate with her. I do know that neutered boars can annoy intact sows but they spray them when they have had enough and he soon backs off, so the same will probably happen the other way round?
