Special Piggie....

So Gizi my little mischievious piggie has been living in a C&C box up until 2 weeks ago when I got Honey.... So when she was living in the C&C box she had lots of fun and was still new to floor time :) She loves running around my bed and coming out from under it to explore... Anyway one day I hear squeaks from my room... It was her squeaking for veggies running around my room...

At first I didn't mind and I put blankets over the C&C box with her strawberry house supporting it, she still jumped out! then we put 12 inch cardboard around the box... that held her in for about a day, then what do I see again she ran to the wall and jumped out... I was like " OMG! Did I get some radio active guinea pig or something!" Anyway I put blankets over thatbut then....... (dramatic momment) She jumped out again :eek:

Anyway so I ended up putting her in a pet store cage that came with honey just for a bit until I got them nicly bonded so Gizi could go in with honey in the big cage! Well what were my thoughts then... All I can say was ":own:"

Anybody else have a radio active guinea pig?
 
I have plastic coated grids.If I had wire pretty sure one of mine could jump out Her front feet and head is over the top but she can't get purchase.I have a puppy pen from Argos that is a lot higher.Would this be an option for you? You could join two together
 
Well I already got sort of a plan :) They stay outside in their big double storey cage during the day to get fresh air. (they stay in when it is raining) And I bring them in at night since it is cold at night but sometimes they stay in and they have a free run of my whole room :) They stay in a pet store cage inside but like I said they have the whole of my room to run in if they stay inside and I only close them in at night because of the dog :)
 
Wow, what a jumper! I worry about putting anything near the edge of mine as Stewart is a climber :) Cheeky little minx you have there :) x
