Spent ages making new set up for shed...

Yes indeed got six 4ft hutches to make into two 3 storeys for in their shed. Originally thought that the 2 outside 5ft hutches would fit in but they didnt

So it took me ages cos I painted them inside and out, made four ramps, covered the floors with lino tiles, and made it look really nice for them.

They been in there since sunday and wont use the ramps! Tried putting food like hansel and gretell on the stairs even added more steps, put 2 up on next level hoping they would call down to others to come up but to no avail.

Was awake with my sciatica in night and started to plan another set up for them. This time involving a custom made 2 level home along the one side of shed about 7ft by 2ft. One for each group of pigs. My partner will be happy lol.

Each time I think I got it all sorted.........

You should be awarded the degree of GPE, guinea pig engineer. That is an abundance of footage, I certainly hope they begin to use it all and get over their reluctance to use the ramps.

sometimes by covering the ramps it encourages them to go up. Or creating a tunnel over them

Definately recommend the ramp tunnel above (or something similar), One of my two boys wasn't using their ramp and the other one was very cautious, as soon As I put this tunnel In from cosy cavies they loved running up and down it!

Would def recommend a ramp tunnel my pigs were only using one level I had to move ladder down as was a bit steep put tunnel on now they use both levels

stress time big time !!
Try not to stress..... yeah i know you will cause it's just natural!
but i think you'll find whatever you do it will get the 'paws of approval' x)

have you tried the little nibble trail of parley or lettuce up the ramps?
i also helped my girls go up and down when whee first built our ramp (yes it has a little side to it) i popped them on the ramp and sort of gently walked them up and then down by the way they now literally roar up and down

Yea Glynis have tried the food trail lol.

Had a bit of an update couldnt find Ruby my babba, she had found her way up to the top. She now has a penthouse all to herself and goes up and down happily. Meanwhile the others are still downstairs.
