Sperm rods

Hi

Has anyone had experience of a boar getting regular sperm rods that you need to remove? I have posted about this before, I have 2 boars and one of them (Rocky) has a persistant issue with sperm rods that require removal every few days. They are very big and uncomfortable for him when being removed. I wondered if anyone had any experience of this and if it is likely to stop or reduce as he gets older? He will be 3 in June. My Albert was a regular roddist. It reduced as he got older, but he would still produce a whopper every now and then, so i had to check him regularly.

Our Loki , would regularly have a few sperm rods stuck, and would need regular checks, sometimes daily.
I was not his favourite person!

My late Edward used to get sperm rods regularly that we or the vet nurse had to gently remove. It’s all part of boar ownership I’m afraid and there’s nothing you can do to stop it x

Tofu had them frequently from 3-4yo - he had quite severe arthritis which I think made it harder for him to get them out himself. I had to check and remove them most days - boars!

It may sound mad, but i miss my nightly check-ins doing Albert's boar and bum checks. Enjoy every (slightly gross) moment!
