Spice isn"t doing too well

Spice had his operation to remove a very stubborn abscess last monday.He has had a post op. check on thursday and everything looked good and he was eating well.Today it looks like either the abscess is returning or he is swollen around his wound,is this normal?I"m back at the vets with him tomorrow but am worried especially after losing Rainbow and Tiger this week.Also if the abscess does come back up,what other treatment can he have?He"s also not eating alot but maybe thats the heat.

I'm sorry but i wouldnt no i would ring the vets up just to tell them and get some professional advice O0
 
I would get him to the vet asap.The wound may have become infected,and the lack of appetite could be from pain.The heat does not normally deplete the piggies appetite.At least,not with my lot!.

Make sure he gets plenty of fluid.Poorly piggies can dehydrate very quickly especially in this warm weather.
 
I agree with Mary, it's best to call the emergency vet & get him looked at tonight really. Also you need to get fluids down him.

Sounds like the abcess needs draining is your piggie in antibiotics? Hope everything goes well for you all thinking of you.
