Hi guys!

So Spike started chirping this morning , for a good few minutes. I’ve only heard my heard one my guinea pigs about 15 years ago chirping. And I know then no one knew why piggies sometimes did this. Is that still the case?
I was worried in case something was up so I got him out for a quick cuddle (when I shouldn’t have been out the door on the way to work :)).. in fact I was still in my pjs.. oops lol! ). I also offered him veg which he didn’t want! Not like spike so then I was super worried!
But as soon as I put him back in the cage he seemed to come back down to earth and munched on the green bean like the greedy little piggie he is!

Well I just played your video and even though I had the sound down quite low, Ollie and Tallullah instantly went on high alert and left their hay eating and ran around looking nervous and vigilant for 5 minutes!
So I think it definitely means something intended to alert the other pigwigs...

Same! I had a pig bolt under cover, one alert Pumpkin, and a completely indifferent Meg. Two out of four on high alert, but only for about 10 seconds. Meg's a chirper though, so they're all used to it.
