Hi, is Spinach okay for piggies, I was told that the greener the better for any foods but wondered if this was ok?

mine love it too. i can tell by the huge wheeks I get when the bag rustles:)):))

Mine also love it with a passion! Shame it doesn't last very long though!

She also love Cucumber, I spoilt her yesterday and put some on a plate in front of the sofa and she got on the plate and sat and ate the lot

Guinea pig usually love spinach; however, it is high in calcium and vitamin A and should only be given as an occasional special treat rather than a regular part of the diet.

For those, who are interested in it, here is the Guinea Lynx food chart:

Hi, Someone else told me that and since then downloaded a diet fact sheet for her so I know what to give her in moderation, I only give the spinach as a treat now, she has Kale more now but to be honest I think its just the russtle of the bag that excites her

We buy the mixed salad leaves for us and the piggies get a couple of the spinach leaves each out of it, as a treat. Saves buying a big bag which goes off ;)

Mine squeak like mad at any bag russles - it means either fresh grass and herbs, hay or salad leaves so they know what they want :))

My pigges hardly ever get spinach! :(
I grew it earlier this year, but didn't get much from them ha

Lacey goes mad for Spinach, if I need to get her in her pen or get her to come out of hiding, I only have to get the bag out of the fridge and she is there climbing on my legs with her head up high, very funny to watch her, she is such a character
